An evening cooking class with Chef Michael Salmon of the Hartstone Inn, Camden
Farmers Fare will be hosting a cooking class by our friend and excellent Chef, Michael Salmon of the Hartstone Inn in downtown Camden.
Michael has been working in professional kitchens for over 25 years. He was named "Caribbean Chef of the Year" for 1996—1997, while working for the Sonesta Beach Resort Hotel and Casino on the island of Aruba. Michael also was featured in a special section of the USA Today on November 8, 1996. Michael is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and also has a bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management. Michael has been a Chef at many four- and five-star hotels and resorts, including eight years with Hyatt Resort Hotels (Orlando, Palm Springs, Lake Tahoe and Greenwich), Caesar's Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and three years in Aruba as Executive Chef for the two Sonesta Resort Hotels.
In May of 1998, Michael and his wife Mary Jo (a former Food & Beverage director at the same resorts) purchased the Hartstone Inn and realized their long desired dream of owning and operating their own Inn.
The class will be informative, fun and filled with delicious, local food sourced directly from Farmers Fare.
