Ta Dah...the burgers have left the building!

The latest update from Farmers Fare on their locavore extraordinaire project for Camden Rockport Elementary School is that on December 8th 200 burgers left the premises for their journey of approximately 200 yards to
the school literally across the road.
These burgers, made from the meat of select local farms and turned into burgers by the on-site butchers at Farmers Fare, Craig and Chris, will be served at the school for the first time today December 10th.
If this pilot project is as successful as FF suspects it will be other schools in the district are slated to quickly follow suit and help push forward a greener, leaner and more local economy for Midcoast Maine. This will help support the growing national trend of promoting and eating the food whose origin can be quickly and easily traced back to it’s source.
The time is here for us to support our local farmers whilst at the same time feeding our children healthy, sustainable food which advances the growth of the local economy!!! YEA from the Farm Team!!
