We'd like to introduce you to TIDE MILL ORGANIC FARM, Washington, Maine.
"Our farm is located in Washington County, along the edge of Maine's easternmost coast. The traditional livelihoods of fishing, farming and forestry are still the mainstay for many families. We exist in a largely resource-based economy with people living very close to the rhythms of the earth and its changing seasons. We produce certified organic chicken, pork, grass fed beef, organic milk and vegetables. Our hearty meats and fresh produce are certified by the Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association (M.O.F.G.A.), a USDA accredited certifying agency.
Currently members of our 7th generation sustainably manage the woodlands and blueberry barrens. We believe there is more to running a business than making a profit, so we have developed a mission statement, a value statement, and a set of goals.
Our mission is for our family to earn our living together growing and providing nourishing food while promoting healthy lifestyles, partnership with the land, and strengthening the economy in Washington County, Maine."
At Farmers Fare we carry Tide Mill MOFGA certified organic chicken, certified organic raw milk in gallons and 1/2 gallons, delicious ricotta cheese and their organic dog treats made from dehydrated chicken feet.
