Recipes and Cookbooks!!
Here is a photograph of some of the participants in the STAR program being held at Farmers Fare twice a week for the winter cycle. They are diligently and joyfully squeezing oranges for one of the recipes which will end up gracing the pages of this lovely hand made book you see featured on the right of the picture.
Apparently the unusual choice of a mouse for the cover photo has something to do with the movie "Ratatouille"!

Farmers Fare, Kate's Butter and Buttermilk and The Gelato Fiasco sample tastings collaboration
Kate's and Gelato Fiasco are collaborating on a new flavor of gelato using Kate's buttermilk...Lemon Buttermilk. Farmers Fare is hosting a sample tasting for the new flavor and to celebrate another collaboration of the locavore variety. As well as the new gelato FF will be featuring Buttermilk Fried Chicken on the Cafe menu that day along with samples of Lemon Buttermilk Cake made with both Kate's butter and buttermilk. There will be samples of other flavors of Gelato from the Fiasco Team as well as samples of Kate's butter and buttermilk. Now that's a lot of samples.
Looking forward to seeing you there!! The Farm Team

STAR (Skills Training And Recognition) classes are being held at Farmers Fare for the winter cycle.
The delightful Katy Morrison, along with a handful of other lovely Farmers Fare staff, will be teaching a cooking and cookbook-making class for the winter cycle of the STAR Program. Eight middle school students will be coming to
Farmers Fare twice a week to learn their way around a kitchen and to record the things they learn in a handmade recipe book.
At the end of the session the children will cook and present a meal to their families!! Yea for that!!

More local beef patties for Camden schoolchildren!
We are very excited to announce that Camden Regional High School is taking a sample batch of local beef patties produced at Farmers Fare from the meat of select nearby farms, with the prospect of supplying the future needs for hamburgers at the school. This is a happy and welcome extension of the local beef program Farmers Fare has already established with the Camden Rockport Elementary School, where they delivered another 216 burgers today.
