We are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with the Penobscot School again this year to offer the popular "Cucina Italia" cooking classes with local chef and author Nancy Harmon Jenkins.
ABOUT NANCY HARMON JENKINS:
Nancy Harmon Jenkins is a food writer, journalist and historian with primary expertise in Mediterranean cultures and cuisine, and secondary strong interests in sustainable agriculture and farm-to-market connections. In both hands-on classes, students prepare the menu under Nancy’s supervision and then enjoy the fabulous dinner with complimentary wine included.

This class will feature the preparation of a hearty winter menu from a Tuscan farmhouse, including crostini, pasta al forno with ragu, Tuscan pork stew with chocolate (imitating wild boar) with polenta, greens steamed and braised with garlic & chilis, and panna cotta with chocolate sauce.

This evening we will be cooking with extra-virgin olive oil, including roasted red peppers and anchovies, Maine shrimp in deep-fried pittule, orecchiette alla barese (pasta with spicy greens), gratin of fresh fennel, Italian-American cioppino (fish stew) with aioli, and olive oil citrus cake.

PRICING:
$65 per person for a single class or $120 per person for both classes. Each class size is limited to 15 students, be sure to register early!
