We live in interesting times. We live in challenging times. The very rules we have lived by are changing moment by moment. We feel disconnected, maybe lost, perhaps a bit isolated. For many of us, our quality of life has diminished. We seem to work harder and enjoy life less. We have fewer moments to spend with friends and family. Even the quality of the food we eat has diminished. We have lost the joy of cooking and eating. We have been pursuing convenience, abundance and leisure, without much enjoyment. And now we are being forced to reevaluate our choices and find new ways.

There are no accidents. Farmers Fare is coming to life just at the time it is needed. We at Farmers Fare believe in bringing people together to share food, stories, knowledge and information. We believe in having fun as we work. In seniors helping juniors. We believe in supporting our local farmers by buying the food they grow and selling it, thereby keeping our farmers on their farms and our community members healthy and satisfied. We believe we ought to know where our food comes from and feel connected to the land around us; that food should nourish the soul and mind as well as the body. We believe in supporting our local artisans, artists and musicians.

We at Farmers Fare want to bring a contemporary interpretation to traditions that have always enriched our lives. We host suppers, pig roasts, pumpkin carvings and other fun events. We pledge to provide a welcoming atmosphere, and scrumptious local food and products of highest quality. We provide rooms for lectures and informal meetings about food, cooking, and growing healthy crops.
